Wedding Information

"In the presence of God"

The order for the Service of Christian Marriage is taken from the Presbyterian Book of Common Worship of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

This service is considered an act of Christian worship, and should normally be held in the place where the community of faith gathers for worship. Our Service of Christian marriage is a specifically Christian act, distinguished alike from a civil ceremony or a rite of a non-Christian organization or religion. The Pastor, authorized by the Church to officiate at this sacred service, instructs the congregation in the first sentence of the service that our gathering together is “in the presence of God.”
