The First Sunday in Lent: Sunday, March 9, 2014
Living in the Spirit: The season rolls around again. Deep calls to deep. Settle down. Look within. Be quiet. Listen. Are you on the right path? Are you drawing closer to God? Are you more loving? Now is the time to reflect and pray. Now is the season for silence and giving. Thank you God for Lent. Thank you God; we journey not alone.
Prayer of Preparation: God of the living, through baptism we pass from the shadow of death to the light of the resurrection. Remain with us and give us hope that, rejoicing in the gift of the Spirit who gives life to our mortal flesh, we may be clothed with the garment of immortality, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Scripture: Psalm 32; Hebrews 12:1-13
