This fellowship group of couples and singles gathers for dinners in members' homes quarterly. Get details on how to join.

Members in the Middle

For adults in the middle years: 40s to 60s, this group meets for dinners in IPC member’s homes. More social outings are on the drawing board. For more information or to share creative ideas, contact Nancy Skinner (205.933.1830).

Partners Committee

This group of parents of young children hosts Parent’s Night Out, the IPC Fall Festival and the spring picnic and Easter Egg Hunt. They also enjoy purely social time with other IPC parents of young children. Learn more about the Partners Committee and Parents' Night Out.

Presbyterian Women

All women who are members of IPC are automatically members of Presbyterian Women. This group is committed to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the missions of our church and to build an inclusive, caring, community of women that strengthens our church and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

Second Sunday Supper

Second Sunday of the month at 6:00 pm 
Please join us following the 5 pm worship service for Sunday night dinner in Highland Hall. No reservations are needed. Everyone is invited to join us for fun and fellowship at this monthly gathering.


Mondays at 8:30am and Thursdays at 5:30 pm -   Highland Hall
Yoga Classes meet in Highland Hall. Come and join us! We will begin at the beginning and work slowly to build a full practice. So, newbies are welcome as well as seasoned yogis. Classes meet Mondays at 8:30 and Thursdays at 5:30pm in 3116 Highland and last one and a half hours. If you think you will be attending, please send Rowena an email at and she will give you some additional information. Mats are available, but if you have your own, please bring it. Also, if you have yoga blocks, bring those as well. Plan to arrive a little early to get situated as class will begin on time.

Come and be a part of this group for special events throughout the year, including the Fall Festival, Kirkwood Ice Cream Social, East Egg Hunt, Parents' Night Out and Social Gatherings.

Dart League

Join one of the top dart teams in the Birmingham Dar League in the spring and the fall. Dart the I's meets Tuesdays nights in Lakeview. All are welcome.

Theology on Tap

Second Thursday of the month
Some of the most important moments in the church's history took place in pubs. The format is simple- beer, conversation and God. Everything is up for discussion. No assumptions. It's people sitting around the table talking about faith and philosophy over a pint on the second Thursday of every month at different local bars.

Young Men's Bible Study Group

Mondays at 8:00 pm -   Home of Catherine and Bennett White
Meets weekly on Mondays at 8pm at the home of Catherine and Bennett White to study Scripture in a small group setting, discuss its life application and build fellowship with one another. For information, contact Jamie Gregory or Frank Lassiter.


The 4th Quarter

For the 60-ish and older members of IPC, the 4th Quarter is a group devoted to fun, fellowship, travel and good food! As Bear Bryant always said, “the 4th Quarter is ours!” Even the die-hard Auburn fan can agree that this is prime time for the joys of life. Contact Brian Lays (205.933.3696).

4th Quarter Bridge Groups

The beginning bridge group meets weekly on Monday at 1:00 pm in room 309. The more experienced players meet weekly on Monday and Wednesday at 1:00 pm in room 305. Beginning bridge lessons are offered each year in January and February. This is drop-in, party bridge. A fun time. No substitutes required. Contact Connie Logan (205.933.3694).

Birmingham Men's Club

An organization of men from all sections of greater Birmingham, who meet at IPC September through May on the fourth Monday at 10:30 a.m. to socialize with friends and make new ones. Lunch is served in the Great Hall at 11:00 a.m. The group is primarily retired men from differing backgrounds who are drawn together for fellowship and the inspiration of a challenging speaker. IPC Bridge Groups 

The beginning bridge group meets Mondays at 1:00 pm in room 309. The more experienced players meet weekly on Monday and Wednesday at 1:00 pm in room 305. Knitting Ministry

This group meets Thursdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to knit prayer shawls for members of the congregation who have been sick or suffered the loss of a loved one. The gift of a shawl conveys not only the power of prayer, but also the love we have for one another. Expert knitters and those wishing to learn are welcome. Contact Brian Lays (205.933.3706).

Rovers Supper Club

Rovers is a covered dish supper club that meets once a quarter in members' homes. The group's members are generally age 65+ but all are welcome -- couples or singles. Contact Connie Logan (205.933.3694) if you would like to be added to the mailing list.
