IPC Knitting Ministry
The Knitting Ministry is a ministry of care and compassion for members of IPC who are ill, grieving or homebound. The knitters are volunteers who gather weekly at the church or work from home to make prayer shawls and lap robes. This ministry of comfort and encouragement is open to all members of the church who want to use their talents to knit and pray for the person who will receive the gift. Who the recipient is may not be known at the time the shawl or lap robe is made, but the prayers of the knitter will accompany it wherever it goes. The gift represents the love of the church and the presence of God.
