Fellowship Groups

Living in Community--
"...I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."  John 10:10b

IPC offers a variety of fellowship opportunities thoughout the church life. We hope that you will explore these opportunities and find groups that interest you and your family.

Young Adults
College Connections- For college age students in town or out-of-town.

IPC Highlanders- Young Professionals. Open to all young adults, including college students, singles, professionals, and couples in the 20-30 age range. Activities include:  10:00 a.m. Sunday School (meets in Room 303), Sunday brunches, cookouts, service opportunities, and baseball games. For more information/suggestions, please contact Cindy Shaw (933-3693).

Adults
Partners - Parents of small children; they host covered dish dinners, an annual marriage retreat and the IPC Fall Festival for all ages.

Dinners for Eight - A fellowship group that grew out of the Partners Supper Club. This group includes couples and singles whose children are older or grown. Dinners are held quarterly. You may register on-line. For information, contact Betsy Middlebrooks, 933.3731.

Knitting Ministry - A fellowship group and a ministry together. Open to anyone who wishes to knit/crochet a shawl (or learn)while in prayer for the recipient of the shawl.

Older Adults
The 4th Quarter- The older adult ministry of IPC. Some are fans of the famous football coach Bear Bryant who always claimed "-the 4th quarter is ours!" Hence the name of this group who believe the 4th Quarter of life is theirs for fun and fellowship. The fun continues through the Bridge Groups.

Rovers Supper Club -  Rovers is a covered dish supper club that meets once a quarter in members' homes. The group's members are generally age 65+ but all are welcome -- couples or singles.  Contact Jeannine Usher (933-3694) or jusher@ipc-usa.org   if you would like to be added to the mailing list.

IPC Bridge Groups - Beginning and advanced bridge. Groups meet in room 305 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Rovers - Couples and singles age 65 +.

Birmingham Men's Club - An organization of men from all sections of greater Birmingham, who meet each fourth Monday at 10:30 a.m. where the members socialize with friends and make new ones. At 11:00 a delightful meal is served in the Great Hall.  The Group is unique because they are retired men from differing social and economic backgrounds who are drawn together for fellowship and the inspiration of a challenging speaker.  Contact Jeannine Usher (933-3694) or jusher@ipc-usa.org   if you would like to be added to the mailing list.
